Bob is VP of Marketing and Omni-Channel at Batteries Plus Bulbs, a national retailer with over 700 stores in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. He is responsible for leading all marketing efforts including digital, traditional and analytics for B2B, B2C and franchise development. The Batteries Plus Bulbs marketing team is on the forefront of creating effective marketing strategies based on customer analytics, research, collaboration and data science. Prior to joining Batteries Plus Bulbs in 2016, Bob was Sr. Director of Integrated Marketing at Lands’ End.
Bob has published cases studies/white papers with Google, YouTube, and Boston Consulting Group. Bob is constantly pushing the boundaries of marketing technology to find the best customers and increase their CLV. Past projects include dynamic remarketing, Search As You Type, digital personalized catalogs using product recommendation engine. Current projects include phone analytics, natural language processing, and personalized marketing.
Bob has undergraduate degrees in Computer Science and Marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. His graduate work was a Joint International Master’s Degree from Hochshule Darmstadt and the University of Wisconsin-Platteville where he focused on data modeling, natural language processing, lexical and parsing systems and completing his thesis: “Predictors of Final Exam Scores in CS1: Language Ability is important”.
